The PTSO at FWAFA has so many ways to get families, faculty and students involved to support the growth of our community and make our school an even more magical place!

Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your preliminary interests. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTSO board member or committee chair that is pulling together that activity and they will be in touch with you.

There are lots of ways you can help from home!

At Home Projects
Help Spread the Word - Work with our Communication Chair, Stephanie Ballew to spread the word of up and coming Fundraisers and Events on our FWAFA class Pages
Website Updates
Volunteer under website coordinator to bring clarity, visual interest and current information to our website.
Wash & Label Uniforms
Wash and label clothes donated to PTSO resale. Volunteer when you can. Typically there is more opportunity to volunteer in August, September, January and May.
Online Directory
Serve under VP of Membership and with the schools PEIMS director to organize student/family details for online access. Ideally completed by the end of September. Excel experience helpful

Free Dress Volunteers - TBD
Help VP of Fundraising in collecting money from students during PTSO free dress. Volunteer is needed to stand at all entrances and collect all funds from students.

Building/Landscape
Ad Hoc projects for FWAFA. Our amazing Principal and staff often think of great ways to improve the ascetics and functionality of the school. Love a group of parents available to call on to help with these one off projects.
Arts & Enrichment Volunteers
Help A&E Chair coordinate the activities of enrichment programs for all grades; and encourage participation in art, community service, speaker series and environmental projects. Exact items are TBD
Blue Bin Coordinater
Help VP of Fundraising with Blue Bin - Our bins are a small but steady donation to our PTSO. Help keeping the area clean of Trash or overflowing items would be appreciated.
Photographer/ Digital Communications
Periodically take pictures of PTSO Volunteers. Communicate the value of volunteering through Facebook, Instagram and Website platforms.
Book Fair
Help organize and set up during a book fair. One to two hour shifts are available. Book Fair is first week in December

Help with set up of Staff Appreciation Breakfast and breakdown monthly. If possible, bring a baked casserole for the staff.

Communication Team

We are looking for parent volunteers from EVERY grade and school related group to help us improve school communications. This is minimal effort and minimal time commitment opportunity. Email Stephanie Ballew for more info.
